A little bit about my background: I think design is in blood. My parents are in the housing industry, and always involved us kids in the process. Oh yes, I have had many adventures with our houses, including all six members of our family living in a tiny unfinished basement for a short period of time (my bed was under the stairs) and doing weeping tile when I was 12.
Like most people, I have many loves and interests. I am currently working as an environmental scientist. While my job encourages my love for science (yes, I'm a nerd), this blog allows me to indulge my creative side.
My Personal design style includes a love of geometric patterns, clean lines with a hit of antique flare. I love the juxtaposition of old and new. Nothing gives me satisfaction like a great find at a flea market or garage sale (I have talked about my recent bookend find for WEEKS!).
PS I'm slightly obsessed with all things blue.
